The Flu Vaccination Season for 2023.
We will be providing both NHS and Private Flu Vaccination Service.

FREE NHS Flu Registration
The Flu Vaccination Season for 2023 has started. We recommend that you have your flu vaccination as soon as possible.
Please read the instructions below:
If you are eligible for a FREE NHS Flu Vaccination
then you may want to register before you arrive
at Baggaley Chemist.

on your mobile.
When registering it will say Pharmacy Midlands, 131 Alcester Road, do not worry this is still Baggaley Chemist. By registering you are not guaranteed
a Flu Vaccination and they will be conducted on a first come first service basis.
On the day that you wish to have your FREE NHS Flu Vaccination please ring us to check we have enough vaccinations left and to see how busy we are. Currently not available on Saturdays.
You're eligible for a FREE NHS flu vaccine if:
- You're over 65 years old (including those turning 65 by 31 March 2024)
- You're pregnant
- You have asthma or a lung condition
- You have chronic heart disease
- You have diabetes
- You have a chronic kidney or liver condition
- You've had a stroke
- You have an illness or are taking medicines that affect your immune system

Private Flu Vaccination
We anticipate the Private Flu Vaccinations will be taking place in September once we have these Flu Vaccinations arrive.
As this is not an NHS funded there is no need to register before you attend the pharmacy.

FREE NHS Flu Vaccination 2023
Flu vaccination is available every year on the NHS to help protect adults and children at risk from flu and its complications.
Flu can be unpleasant, but if you're otherwise healthy, it'll usually clear up on its own in about a week.
But flu can be more severe in certain people, such as:
- pregnant women
- children and adults with an underlying health condition (such as long-term heart or respiratory disease)
- children and adults with weakened immune systems
Anyone in these risk groups is more likely to develop potentially serious complications of flu, such as pneumonia (a lung infection), so it's recommended that they have a flu vaccine every year to help protect them.
